The Bulgari watch, launched in 1977, is a pillar of the Bulgari brand. Its most distinctive feature is the double “Bulgari” on its bezel.
This year, Bulgari launched an updated Bulgari Bulgari Chronograph powered for the first time by Zenith’s El Primero movement, which Bulgari calls Caliber BVL 328. (Zenith and Bulgari are both owned by LVMH.)
The movment retains its signature 36,000 vph rate, which allows it to time events to the nearest tenth of a second – the only chronograph movement with that capability.
The watch offers a central chronograph seconds hand, small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock.
The 41-mm Bulgari Bulgari Chronograph is available in a rose-gold ($27,700) or steel ($9,500) case, water resistant to 100 meters.
